Everything you need to understand the attestation process with confidence.
How much does certificate attestation cost in the UAE?
Cost depends on your document, the country that issued it and the service you need. We send a written quote before we start. The quote includes 5% UAE VAT unless stated otherwise. Government fees are listed on their own. Any extra service is shown in the quote.
How long will my attestation take?
The time depends on your document, its country of issue and the steps it needs. We give you an estimate in working days after we check the case. Weekends and public holidays do not count. If the estimate changes, we tell you and give a new one.
Is digital attestation accepted in the UAE?
Yes, in many cases. It depends on your document and what you need it for. Some cases still need the paper original. We check this before work starts.
Do I need to travel back to the country that issued my document?
Usually not. We can make the required submissions while you stay in the UAE. Some cases still need your original document or personal attendance. If yours does, we tell you before you pay.
What if the name on my certificate does not match my passport?
A name mismatch may cause an authority to hold or refuse your document. We check the visible details before we send it. If proof or a correction is needed, we tell you first.
How is my original document kept secure after collection?
Every original we receive is logged and kept secure in Dubai. If a step is done abroad, we use a tracked courier. We also share the tracking details.
What if my document is already partly attested?
We check what has already been done and tell you what is left. If an earlier step cannot be used, we explain why before we send anything.
What if a UAE authority holds or rejects my document?
If a UAE authority holds or rejects your document, we explain the reason they give and what you can do next. If the case can continue, we tell you what is needed and give a new estimate.
How do I pay for my attestation service?
We accept bank transfer, card and cash. Payment is due in full before work starts. We issue the invoice once payment is received. Your written quote sets out the service and the amount due.
Can I cancel before my document is submitted?
Yes. If you cancel before we send your document to the authority, we refund the Benchmark fee in full, less any costs already spent on your case. Government fees cannot be refunded once they are paid.
Who can receive my original attested document?
We return it to you or to someone you name in writing. Each completed original is sent by tracked delivery. This gives a clear record of the handover.
Can Benchmark guarantee my attested document will be accepted in the UAE?
No. We cannot promise that every UAE office, employer or other body will accept a document. We check it and handle the agreed steps. Government bodies issue the stamps. The place that receives your document makes the final call.
